It is high time for us all to change our way of thinking. The person doing everything; managing everything at home is not a slave; she is a human being. And just like a human being, she must have aspirations as well; she must also have had dreams. It is time for us to help those dreams come true. How long are we going to pretend that women in our country are not subjugated by men?
In India, women are supposedly treated as Goddesses. There’s the Goddess of Knowledge Saraswati, Goddess of Wealth Lakshmi and the supreme Goddess Durga. Every year, we celebrate the Grand Festival of Durga Puja.
But even amidst all this reverie and happiness, the story of a home-maker tells a different truth. Even amongst all this the story of a 15-year-old girl, who is going to be married off, tells a different truth. How long are we going to stop these dreams, how long are we going to make them cry? That is a question that many of us ask, it is a condition that almost all of us condemn, but few dare to act against.
Women Empowerment is not about rebelling. It is not about going around blaming others for your own life’s choices. And it is certainly nothing about social media. Women Empowerment at its core is all about spreading awareness about the state of women in our country. About fighting for a fair chance. It is about trying your best to realize your dreams.
It all starts with education. That is the base of it all. You cannot change the mindset that has persisted for such a long time just by talking alone. There are many government schemes which are tailor-made to empower women in daily walks of life. But most of us are not completely aware of them all. Change takes time, but it can only happen if we act.
This is the reason why Muskan was founded. It aims to tip scales in favour of equality. At Muskan, we strive to make sure that no women are left out, that no one has to hear “A girl’s duty is maintaining the house, nothing else.”. It is way past time for changing such ways of thinking. Donate for women so that they can come closer to every other race in this world.
Through our various campaigns and event, we try to spread the message of “equality for women”. We strive to provide education. There is no age for learning. We firmly believe in that, which is why, no matter how old you are, we are here to support you. If you want to make a new way of living and do not know where to go, whom to ask, Muskan is here for you. You can always come to us, rely on us, and we promise to help you with your dreams. That is the commitment of Muskan towards making women more secure, to help in developing our nation. If you want to know more, go to www.muskanforall.com.
